The idea of founding Lelia Onlus originates with a group
of people sharing the same concerns and determined to stop feeling
useless when confronted with the suffering of poor people worldwide.
It was for us natural to try and channel more constructively our
anger at a system we deemed socially unfair. We had spent enough
years doing voluntary work, visiting developing countries, debating
intensively on further steps to take: it was now time to become
more actively involved and take concrete initiative to carry out
our projects.
Founded in September 2003, the organisation relies on the voluntary
work of its founding fathers and of other contributors.
We are based in Via della Torretta, 8-9 – 26900 Lodi (Italy)
